Hi this is Arpita....have been a crafter for more than 10 years, crafting for me is much more than being creative,it brings me peace and joy and also keeps me sane(LOL).Happy to share and continue this journey with all the creative minds out there.
Arpita here,Today i am sharing with you all a art journal spread, this is my first attempt at art journaling and it was so much fun.I am a very positive person and as my first journal spread I decided to start with positivity,so have included some positive quotes in this spread, hope you all like it as much as I do.
Hello My Crafty Friends...
Arpita this side, hope you all are doing good.It has been a while that I did some Mixed Media due to various reasons, but have been crazily shopping crafty materials so finally decided to put them to use.
So here is what I made...
Materials Used
STAMP SET - MUDRA - LINEN BLOOMS, click HERE to buy this
Arpita here, today I will be sharing a project with you all today which I made using a technique which I have been wanting to try for a while, also have a video tutorial for the same @ the end of this post.
So here is what I made...
Brief Tutorial
1.Have given 2 coats of Lyrical Birdy chalk paints firstly.
2 Once the paint was dry I cut down the Mask It Up tape into 1inch strips and stuck them in parallel lines on my base .
3. For a second color I choose the Dark Shadow chalk paint and let the paint dry completely.once dry I slowly removed the masking tape which let the lyrical birdy color show beautifully and made a lovely pattern.
4. Finally to add a little interest did some stenciling with Jingle Bell & Silent Night Shimmer Paste. For this I choose the Flower wines Stencil..
Bottle Tutorial
For My bottle i stamped the image from Hello Stamp set on the mask it up tape, fussy cut the image and stuck them on a clean bottle.the used the same shades of chalk paints to add color.once was happy with the coloring and my paints were completely dryI slowly removed the tape and I was done .* While working on the bottle its a little tougher to remove the masking tape.be very slow and gentle,if you are still finding it hard take a blade and run it on the edge of the pattern slowly and it will make it easy to remove the masking tape.

Hope your 2019 has been great, wish you all a great year ahead.I am sharing my first work of this year,my first set of Fridge Magnets 'Key To Happiness'.
Being Happy is a choice, over the years have learnt happiness doesn't depend on what or how much u have but what you choose to do with the what you have.Believe in your self and keep smiling.
I have upcycle'd, reused the materials from my previous projects to make these magnets, also coloured them using old nail paints.
Arpita here, hope you all are doing fine? As Christmas is just around the corner I am sure you all have started decorating your home and shopping for gifts, but I as a crafter always love to create my own decor and love to gift handmade presents for my loved ones.So today I have made this beautiful alterd bottle which sits beautifuly on my table and can be a great gift.Hope you are inspired and would love to see your version of this make.
So this is what I made...
Brief Tutorial
Step 1
Applied 2 coats of white Gesso letting them dry between coats.
Step 2
To give texture I have randomly applied Crackle paste and the Granular paste randomly.
Step 3
Once the pastes were dry ,to add color I have used the Peacock Feathers,Posy Flamingo and Bronze Shimmer paints by altering colors till I was happy with the shades.
Step 4
For my focal point I choose a snowflake chipboard which I gave it a coat of Jingle Bell Shimmer Paste. To make the composition added a piece of gauze, some flowers, die cut, resin and metal empelishments and finally added a sentiment which I stamped from the Merry Christmas Stamp set.
Step 5
I stuck a round mdf disc on top of the bottle to create a candle holder .
