Its Christmas(Photo Frame)Monthly Challenge Inspiration Post

Hello Everyone...

Its Christmas time, that means its Holiday  time, spending time with family ,Yummy Food and a lot of presents. I love Handmade Gifts, and today I am sharing one of the projects which is very easy to make and would make a beautiful gift.Have altered a wooden plank which can be used as a Photo/Message board.I have a brief Pictorial for the same...

Step 1
I will be using a print from the newly launched  Decoupage papers,Letters to Santa. This collection of papers are perfect to make Beautiful Christmas Decor.
I will decoupage this piece of MDF slab.As this piece was cut out of scraps and was not well finished.i did some sanding to get a smooth workable surface.

Step 2
Primed the surface with 2 coats of  Snow White Chalk Paint, letting it dry completely between each coat.

Step 3
I glued the paper down with the decoupage glue, and gave a topcoat with the same glue.Once my glue was dry sealed it with a coat of clear acrylic varnish.

Step 4
Using a palette knife applied texture paste and sprinkled clear glitter over it to achieve a faux snow effect .

Step 5
Did some stencilling of snowflakes with silver glitter paste and added a few embellishments and I was done.
This is the Final Look...
